In the past week Vermont has seen historical and catastrophic floods devastate communities, displace families, and wipe away farms, homes, and businesses. Join us this Saturday 7/22 from 12-4pm to raise money for all affected by the carnage of this flood. Stowe Cider, American Flatbread, Zero Gravity, and Lake Champlain Chocolates have teamed up to host this Flood Benefit event featuring live music, family fun, tie dye, parking lot games, cider, beer, and pizza. The live music sets will feature local artists including Duke Davis, AliT, John Fusco, and The Art of DonnCherie. 100% of ticket sales will go to NOFA and VT Community Foundation.
Tickets will include "all you can eat" pizza, 2 drink tickets, and fun for the whole family including parking lot games, tie dye, and music! Kids 12 and under free entry. Join us to come together for our Brave Little State, our communities that have been deeply affected, and our famers who keep this state running. Together we will stay #VermontStrong.
About the Artists:
AliT: Alison Turner, better known as AliT, is a singer-songwriter (guitar/voice) based in Vermont. Once described as “a less-neurotic Alanis Morissette”, the songstress records and performs a heartfelt and unique style of alternative/indie pop.
Duke Davis: Duke Davis is a multi-instrumentalist specializing in saxophone and guitar. He has played saxophone with countless musicians such as; Booker T, David Lindley, Sly and Robbie, Melvin Seals, Greensky Bluegrass, Infamous Stringdusters, Steve Kimock and Zero, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Leftover Salmon, and hundreds more. When playing guitar, he plays and sings a wide blend of Folk, Americana, Bluegrass and Jerry Garcia/Grateful Dead related acoustic songs and originals.
The Art of DonnCherie: DonnCherie, a Burlington, VT, singer-songwriter, has been described as “honey-covered-rawness”, she is dark, ominous, playful and a little naughty, her music influenced by Blues, Folk, Soul and Country music and does not ask you to pick a genre. She brings so much heart to the lyrics and life to the story she’s bringing you. DonnCherie’s songs take you on a journey with a musical conversation that moves your soul and allows you to see a little of yourself in each line.
John Fusco: While best known as the creator of cult-classic blues movie ‘Crossroads,’ the neo-western ‘Young Guns’ franchise and more than a dozen other iconic American movies, John Fusco has returned to his roots music past with 3 critically-acclaimed albums in an as many years. Now, merging music and movie mediums, he’s currently collaborating with John Legend on Universal Pictures’ ‘Phantom’, a reimagining of ‘Phantom of the Opera’ set in modernday New Orleans in the world of jazz and R&B.
