Evan Jennison

We are excited to welcome back Evan Jennison who will be playing a special set from 5-8pm on 12/19.

About Evan:

Born and raised in the Green Mountains, Evan’s songwriting has been inspired by his surroundings. He draws from American folk music and Rock, with tinges of Bluegrass, Jam and Country.

Evan has opened numerous VT shows for national artists such as: Yonder Mountain’s Jacob Jolliff, Shred Artist Marcus Rezak, The Samples and the Grift. In 2024, he opened for Eggy and Daniel Donato at the Borderland Festival in Buffalo NY, and for Dogs in a Pile and Anders Osborne at The Divided Sky 5K Run Festival in Ludlow VT.

Evan appears as an enchanting solo artist singing heartfelt vocals with captivating lyrics, accompanied by his signature acoustic flatpicking guitar sound. This is only enhanced by him playing his original songs with a full sound and sweet harmonies, being backed and supported by Vermont luminaries that have included such folks as: Clint Bierman, Peter Day, Jeff Vallone, Russ Lawton, Ben Lively, Hayley Jane, Josh Dobbs, Josh Panda, Ryan Clausen, Ed Grasmeyer and more. He has also had opportunities to appear with Al Schnier and Vinnie Amico of moe., Cabinet’s Bluegrass Master Pappy Biondo, the Nth Power’s Nick Cassarino, Rob Compa of Dopapod, and others.

Evan was invited to play in an ongoing project of Sirius XM’s Ari Fink that has included Twiddle’s Ryan Dempsey, Big Gigantic’s Jeremy Salken, Lespecial’s Luke Bemand and Josh West of Annie in the Water.

Evan’s 2024 album, “Live At Tank,” is a collection of songs recorded entirely live in front of a studio audience at Ben Collette’s Tank Recording in Burlington, in early 2024. The track list contains Evan’s original compositions, and two reimagined traditional covers. “Live at Tank” features the musical contributions of Clint Bierman (electric guitar), Peter Day (bass), Jeff Vallone (drums), Ben Lively (fiddle) and Josh Dobbs (piano). This album effectively captures the energy of Evan’s live performances, and the undeniable connection between him and his band onstage. Stay tuned....more to come soon!

This is a FREE show, first come first served, and you're welcome to stay for as long as you'd like!

About Allegra Larson:
Allegra is a singer, songwriter, and pianist living in Vermont.
Originally from Massachusetts, Allegra grew up in a hippie family immersed in the exploratory music of the Grateful Dead and Phish, while also reveling in the alternative rock music of the late 90s/early 2000s.  She pulls these influences creating a unique blend of alt-indie-jam rock, combining her favorite aspects of different genres into her own style.
Her powerful voice is at one moment soft and pure and the next filled rawness and grit, all enhanced by her poignant, from-the-gut lyrics. Soft piano ballads, torch songs, searing-scorching-angsty songs, and flowing, improvisational jams all woven together into her own musical tapestry. Allegra fuses an eclectic swirl of influences together from the Grateful Dead to Joni Mitchell, from Pink Floyd to Avril Lavigne.

Allegra released her first EP, "To Stop the Void from Growing", in June 2024. Prior to that, she released three singles: "Ex Queen of Hearts" (2022), "Eternal Blues"(2023) and "Apathy" (2023).

Allegra plays frequently in southern Vermont and has played all around New England. Notable venues include the Cuzzin’s Stage at Mount Snow, the Snowbarn, the Dover Bar & Grill, the Midway Cafe, and the Strand Theatre on Martha’s Vineyard.

JIMKATA RUNNING IN PLACE TOUR 2025. SHAKEDOWN LOUNGE AT STOWE CIDER.

Tickets: https://www.seetickets.us/event/Jimkata/628088

About Jimkata:
Blurring the line between rock band and electronic act, Jimkata is onto an entirely new era on stage.  Once again a quartet, the band has been proving that no songs from their extensive catalog is off limits. Described as “A hard hitting dance party with soaring guitar riffs and soul tickling lyrics,” Jimkata takes you on an emotional joyride before tucking you gently in to bed, still humming the words.

With a life long friendship at it’s core friends since middle school, Evan Friedell, Aaron Gorsch and Packy Lunn infuse Jimkata, with an adventurous musical streak & relatable lyrical themes. Adding Cooper Casterline into the mix holding down the low end has allowed the band to stretch the music out in a live setting. Mixed in with the modern sensibilities & hard driven indie rock are influences drawn from the likes of Motown, singer-songwriters & even old country songs, where storytelling & a quick turn of phrase share priorities with melody & the beat.

On the heals of their newest studio album effort “Running In Place” which releases in Sept 2024 the band has once again exemplified why they’re the best at what they do. With the most recent release they continue the successful building of a vibrant, grassroots fanbase and finds themselves all over the US supporting their most recent release.

Soule Monde

SOULE MONDE. FEBRUARY 14TH 8PM. SHAKEDOWN LOUNGE AT STOWE CIDER.

TICKETS: https://www.seetickets.us/event/Soule-Monde/630133

About Soule Monde:

Soule Monde is avant funk, born of the syncopated minds of power drummer Russ Lawton and organ wizard Ray Paczkowski. The “duo” is cemented into an indestructible unit, where bold improvisational leaps are interpreted telepathically and reciprocated effortlessly. Paczkowski has an intrepid ability to simultaneously tame the Hammond B3 and clavinet, filling Soule Monde's sound with beautiful and dynamic melodies. Lawton is the consummate ‘pocket’ drummer, driving the groove further without ever losing a step, or Ray. This is the jazz-duo your parents warned you about.

Their pedigree speaks for itself, much like Russ and Ray’s music. While Lawton has played alongside Vermont staples like Mike Gordon, Strangefolk, and The Grippo Funk Band, Paczkowski’s early acts Viperhouse and Vorcza gained notoriety in the 1990s, and he (Ray) toured with Dave Matthews and Friends for 3 years in the early 2000s. Notably, both members of Soule Monde have been in the Trey Anastasio Band (TAB) for more than 20 years. Additionally, Russ and Ray have made appearances at Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Saturday Night Live, David Letterman, Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Fallon.

In early 2018 Ray Paczkowski underwent brain surgery to remove a golf ball sized tumor that threatened his gross motor function. After a difficult year of rehabilitation filled with ups and downs, the “Milkman” as he is affectionately known, made a full recovery. With a freshly shaped lens on life the duo did not waste any time. In the Spring of 2020 Russ and Ray added a third and started LaMP, a supergroup side project with Scott Metzger of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead. That Fall found them in their familiar roles alongside Phish’s Trey Anastasio at New York City’s legendary Beacon Theatre. The Beacon Jams 8-week live stream residency tested the duo’s versatility, rehearsing and performing over 100 songs on the run.

Fast forward to early 2021, and Soule Monde proper returned to Sugarhouse Studios in Waitsfield, VT, surrounded by snow covered Pines, to record “Mimi Digs It”. The decades of synergy show, and eight brand new tracks highlight a musical partnership at the pinnacle of its craft. Much like the sugar yielding Maples on Ray’s Farm, this latest album is the gift that keeps on giving.

Faithfully recreating the passion, fashion and swagger of the smoothest one hit wonders ever written since 2013, the Full Cleveland are Vermont's only premiere Yacht Rock band specializing in 70's Billboard Top 40, Blue Eyed Soul & A.M. Gold. So if you like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain, then The Full Cleveland wants to meet you all the way.

About Ryan:
Based in Troy, NY - Ryan Leddick showcases a collage of musical talents that stop people in their tracks. Blending years of experience, Ryan Leddick weaves his soulful and haunting voice alongside rhythmic guitar lines to create an enticing folk-rock fusion.
Growing up in the Adirondacks in upstate New York, Ryan Leddick caught the music bug early in his life. You could even say his talents run very deep in his family. When he graduated High School it continued on into two music degrees in performance; one from SUNY Adirondack in Queensbury, NY, and the second from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY. It was here in New York’s Capital Region alongside his tours in and around the northeast that Ryan grew and became the musician he is today.
Having shared the stage with many Broadway notables, Damien Rice, Of Good Nature, and Patty Larkin to name a few you would be remiss if you didn’t see him.
You can find his last two live EPs; Live From Morris (2015), and Up, Up, and Away: a live album (2020) available on all streaming platforms.

Friday Night Music w/ John Lackard Blues Duo

We're excited to welcome John Lackard back to Stowe Cider for our Friday Night Music series 11/29 from 5pm -8pm! Join us for a fun evening of live music and fresh cider!

This is a free show, first come first served, and you're welcome to stay for as long as you'd like! No outside food or drink is allowed.

About John:

A sound and style that could easily have come from Memphis or Chicago is perhaps what makes John Lackard and his Green Mountain origin so unique. Not just another trip on the “Blues Bandwagon” that is so ever popular today. This is the real thing.

His apparent connection and understanding began when his father brought the Boogie Woogie piano and records into the household, and started a career that has lasted over half of a century. John’s first real musical instrument at the age of five was a Hohner harmonica. Being only eight when he went to work selling greeting cards for points toward a plastic electric guitar. It was followed by a Silvertone “Stella” 12 string acoustic guitar when he was nine. During this time, John moved next door to Buddy Truax, jazz guitarist of “Buddy Truax And The Playboys”. This early influence was enhanced by Buddy’s sons who played bass and drums, providing a rhythm section to jam with in addition to Buddy’s informal “lessons”. By age fifteen he was ready for his first professional stage appearance. Touring New York and New England for a few years led to a stint with Sam the Sham, sit-ins with James Cotton, Jimmy Rogers and Bob Margolin, working with Cotton’s drummer as Ken Johnson and Co., in addition to opening shows for Jimmy and James as well as countless others. After which Jimmy declared “That boy kicks the hell out of the Blues!” James simply stated, “The Blues is in Vermont”. Currently in process of recording a CD, one of the tracks titled “I Wanna Go Back” can be heard on the compilation album “Best of The Green Mountain Blues Vol. 1”. The future promises a continued extensive touring schedule that previously prompted a radio D.J. to proclaim the John Lackard Blues Band “The Hardest Working Blues Band in New England”.
