How does the Golden Apple Club work?

  • Once signed up, members will receive a welcome package from Stowe Cider. Our welcome box includes a custom Golden Apple Club 16oz Willi Becher glass, a member club card, and information about the club benefits.

  • Each quarter/season, Golden Apple Club Members will receive a notice (through email) 1 week prior to each shipment period. The shipments take place annually in March, June, September, and December. 

  • Golden Apple Club members will receive a follow-up email when the release has opened for customization. Using the member’s Vinoshipper account, they will be able to customize their quarterly box. 

    • Please note: each release will highlight 2-3 limited, seasonal ciders. The highlighted ciders will not be discounted, however, all box inclusions (including highlighted seasonal options) are customizable. Members can add-on any ciders in stock at that time. All “add-on” ciders will be discounted at the club member rate of 15%.

  • Each shipment includes a ‘Letter From The Cellar’ with tasting notes that describe the story and background of each highlighted cider and any updates from Stowe, VT. 

  • Each quarterly shipment is priced between $50-60. This price doesn’t include any customizations, taxes, fees, or shipping. All packages will be sent through UPS and will require a signature upon delivery (21+).

*Upon signing up, new members will receive a welcome package including a membership card and Golden Apple Club exclusive glassware.

THE FINE PRINT

Shipping & Packaging Policy:

  • Members are required to pay shipping and packaging fees for each box. All boxes require a 21+ signature upon delivery and a legal birthday is required to sign up for the club. All members must be 21+. A tracking number will be provided through email once the shipment has been packaged. All shipments and deliveries will be made through UPS. UPS will make three delivery attempts (for signature) before returning to the sender. Once a package is returned to the sender, members will receive the total cost in online credit. If you need to make changes to your shipping address, cancel your box after customized, or receive a damaged/incorrect package members can reach out to customerservice@vinoshipper.com or orders@stowecider.com. 

    • Please note: members can have their package delivered to a local UPS store to avoid missing the delivery attempts. The UPS store will hold your package for roughly 5 days (depending on the store). 

    • Unfortunately, regulations restrict us from shipping alcohol to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. We will do our best to offer alternate delivery options for those on military bases with PO Boxes. 

    • Regulations for shipping hard cider vary by state. We comply with all regulations based on states’ shipping laws and limitations. Due to current state regulations, sadly, we cannot ship our cider to all states. 

    • Stowe Cider’s Golden Apple Club is currently shipping to: AK, AL, AZ, CO, DC, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MN, MO, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY, and limited products available in AL and NJ.

In-Store Pick-Up Policy:

  • Local members may choose to pick up their quarterly boxes at Stowe Cider (17 Town Farm Ln, Stowe VT 05672) to avoid shipping/packaging fees. Members will receive an email when the packages are ready to be picked up. Members must pick up their customized boxes within Stowe Cider’s open & operational hours. (*Please note: these hours may change seasonally. Google will have an accurate representation of our current open hours). Members will have 3 weeks from the date of the first email to pick up the order. There will be 2 follow-up emails to remind members of the pick-up window (one email per week). If it is not picked up, and other arrangements have not been made, the release will be shipped to your address on file. Shipping and applicable taxes will be applied to your payment card. 

Membership Fees:

  • After signing up for the club, members will automatically be charged the $5 membership fee once a quarter. If a member does not customize their box, they will automatically be sent the highlighted release ciders. Memberships can be paused or canceled at any time through a Vinoshipper account and/or by sending an email to orders@stowecider.com 

Failed Payment:

  • If a member’s card is declined upon customization closure and order processing, members will receive an email to update their credit card information. If a member does not respond and update their card before shipment, their quarterly box will not be shipped. All boxes must be paid for in full before shipment. After no response on 3 quarterly releases, membership will be automatically canceled. At that point, members can rejoin the Golden Apple Club at any point through the signup process.
